World Coffee News: Arizona’s Press Coffee tests the new in-store retail concept

The US specialty coffee roaster, which operates 10 cafes across Arizona, is testing a new cafe concept in a store of organic supermarket chain Sprout Agricultural Market.

US roaster Press Coffee is testing a new in-store retail location in a Sprouts Agricultural Market store.

The concept, located in Phoenix, Arizona, features a workspace area and a full beverage menu including Press Coffee’s specialty drip and cold brew, as well as hot and iced and nitro-blend teas.

Additionally, the pilot site will offer a limited number of in-store retail items including whole beans and ground coffee. Sprouts Farmers Market says Press Coffee is in line with its mission of providing ‘fresh, quality, sustainable and ethically sourced specialty products’.

Launched in 2008, the small batch roaster will analyze the success of the Phoenix pilot before discovering more Press Coffee bar sites within Sprouts Agricultural Market’s network of 380 stores in the United States.

In addition to providing retail services, Press Coffee also manages its own subscription coffee delivery service and operates 10 independent coffee shops throughout Arizona.
