How to Export and Import Coffee to Poland? – Shipping Coffee For Export From Vietnam To Poland. Vietnam and the EU signed the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) on June 30, 2019, and officially took effect on August 1, 2020; according to this agreement, EU countries, including Poland, offer necessary tariff preferences for Coffee imported from Vietnam.

How to Export and Import Coffee to Poland?

Poland increases imports of Vietnamese coffee

The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) cited statistics from the International Trade Center (ITC), saying that Poland’s coffee imports in 2015 – 2019 grew by an average of 6.5% per year. from 141,144 tons in 2015, to 181,086 tons in 2019. In the first nine months of 2020, Poland’s coffee imports reached 136.3 thousand tons, worth $448.71 million, up 2.7% in volume and 6.7% in value over the same period in 2019.

In the first nine months of 2020, Poland’s average import price of coffee reached $3,291/ton, up 3.9% over the same period in 2019. Meanwhile, the cost of Polish coffee imports increased from the markets of Germany, Brazil, Belgium, and the Czech Republic.

In the first nine months of 2019, Poland increased coffee imports from Vietnam with an increase of 30.6% in volume and 27.1% in value over the same period in 2019, reaching 11.1 thousand tons, worth 11.1 thousand tons, worth 18.42 million USD in the first nine months of 2020.

In the first nine months of 2020, Poland increased coffee imports from most markets but decreased imports from Germany and Uganda. Specifically, Poland’s coffee imports from Germany in the first nine months of 2020 reached 89.3 thousand tons, worth $254.5 million, down 1.7% in volume but up 3.2% in value. They were compared with the same period in 2019. Germany’s share of total Polish imports accounted for 65.53% in the first nine months of 2020, lower than 68.5% in the first nine months of 2019.

In contrast, Poland increased coffee imports from Vietnam with an increase of 30.6% in volume and 27.1% in value over the same period in 2019, reaching 11.1 thousand tons, worth 18.42 million USD in the first nine months of 2020. Vietnam’s coffee market share in Poland’s total imports accounted for 8.13% in the first nine months of 2020, higher than 6.4% in the first nine months of 2019.

At the port in the city area. In Ho Chi Minh City, R1 grade Robusta coffee decreased by 2.9% compared to December 31, 2020, to 33,500 VND/kg. The coffee trade in the domestic market was quiet due to weak demand and increased supply due to harvest time. The price is low, so people have not sold much.
